Round up for Fairfield and Buxton neighbourhood teams

Over the past few days, our neighbourhood team has prioritised addressing drug-related activity, which often contributes to wider criminal behaviour in our area. 

We have acted on reports from local residents regarding these concerns. 

Recent enforcement activity included two vehicle stop-searches, resulting in the arrest of two men on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. This investigation is ongoing. A second vehicle stop, while resulting in no arrests, remains part of our broader efforts to disrupt the supply of illegal substances. Additionally, over a three-day period, four individuals were arrested for offences including shoplifting, burglary, and weapon-related incidents, all of which are linked to drug activity in the Buxton and Fairfield areas. 

When engaging with vulnerable individuals involved in criminality due to substance misuse, we continue to provide safeguarding support and referrals to relevant partner agencies.
